The Best Lacrosse Training Clinic in the U.S

If you’re looking to improve your individual lacrosse skills, have fun and meet new friends , then the best thing you can do is attend one of our GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps. Our lacrosse camps are geared to lax players of all ability levels from experienced players to beginners. Our four-day LAX camps provide lacrosse players with lacrosse training from our expert coaches – while also stressing the importance of developing leadership skills and being a good sport. With separate girl’s lacrosse camps and boy’s lacrosse camps, and a commitment to provide individualized development, you’re sure to develop a newfound confidence and passion for the sport of lacrosse!

Why Our Lacrosse Camps Are Superior

GameBreaker is recognized as the national leader for lacrosse instruction and education. With over 65,000 campers attending our lacrosse camps since our inception, we are the most popular lax camp in the country for a reason. Our directors and lacrosse coaches are the most talented in the industry. They have vast lacrosse backgrounds and include both current and former professional lacrosse players, winning college coaches, and proven high school coaches. Each of these staff members share a commitment to the improvement of each and every lax camper.

Aether - Aether is an ham radio logging for the Mac. Aether gives hams logging software that is as powerful, easy to use, and good looking as the operating system it runs on. Designed from the ground-up using Apple’s Cocoa, Aether supports the latest Mac OS X technologies, and provides the experience that Mac users expect.

In addition to that, the GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps are the only lax camps in the country who employs a staff that is Double-Goal Certified by the Positive Coaching Alliance. This means they are committed to not only teaching lacrosse skills, but to help build the character of all the lacrosse campers so they can be successful off the field. Each of our coaches are here to be positive role models for our lacrosse players, and we don’t take that responsibility lightly.

Skills You’ll Learn at Our Lacrosse Clinics

Another reason a GameBreaker LAX Camp is the best place for you to receive individualized lacrosse training is because of our progressive curriculum. We don’t just run lacrosse drills and call it a day; we have ten specific skill clinics to ensure every aspect of the game is improved. That’s the GameBreaker Difference. These are the lacrosse skills we focus on:

• Defense (team and individual)
• Ground Balls
• Dodging
• Shooting
• Fast Breaks

• Triangle Offense
• Stick Skills
• Clears
• Man Up, Man Down
• Face-Off and Wing Play

Mission Statement

The GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps were developed to provide young athletes with the opportunity to become better lacrosse players by providing instruction from the top coaches in a positive and fun atmosphere.

This week, Surfin’ considers different way of assembling a software defined radio (SDR).

Tom Zicarelli, KA1IS, wrote to me about his music project that ended up being a ham radio project using ham software defined radio (SDR) project using Max/MSP. This nifty program is a design tool that “gives you the parts to create unique sounds, stunning visuals, and engaging interactive media. These parts are called ‘objects’ -- visual boxes that contain tiny programs to do something specific. By combining objects, you create interactive and unique software without ever writing any code (you can do that too if you really want to).”

The first phase of the project is a receiver that features:

  • Support for baseband IQ signal sources (including IQ data files)
  • Device control (in Mac OS) for the Soft66lc2 (500 kHz to 30 MHz) and the FUNCubeDongle Pro (64 MHz to 1.7 GHz)
  • SSB, AM and FM detection
  • AGC, notch/peak filter and noise filters
  • Midi control surface support
  • iPad control surface support (using touchOSC)
  • Memory store/recall
  • Scanner interface
  • Synthesizer interface

Tom’s software currently runs in Mac OS 10.6+ and Windows 7. It is available as a standalone Mac OS application or a Max collective (.mxf). Visit Tom’s Software Defined Radio in Max/MSP website to get more information and to download the software. Also, check out his video for a demonstration of the software.
